This guide describes our custom, private group programs. These differ from our open-enrollment trips, which have fixed itineraries and are designed for individuals, pairs, or small teams. Groups of fewer than eight are generally better suited for our open-enrollment programs.
What We Do
Tech Buzz China designs executive and investor trips into China’s technology ecosystem. We have run these programs since 2019, covering sectors such as AI, robotics, new energy, EVs, and emerging fields like biotech. Each trip is built for one group with shared goals.
Who Joins
Groups often include family offices, hedge and mutual fund teams, public-markets investors, venture and angel investors, corporate executives, and startup founders. Sometimes researchers or academics participate as well. Typically, the group arrives through an internal organizer.
How We Plan
We begin with a short discovery call to understand your attendees, objectives, and sector focus. Wish-list companies are welcome. We then design an itinerary based on your priorities, our network, and what is logistically feasible.
Trips are usually planned three to six months in advance. Most itineraries are finalized four to six weeks before departure, with some natural adjustments as schedules evolve in China.
Where We Go
We route you to the most relevant hubs for your industry. Past destinations include Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hefei, Liyang, and Changzhou. Many clusters sit outside tier-one cities, so routing depends on available time and focus. Groups are typically eight to fifteen people, with a practical upper limit around twenty-five.
What To Expect
From arrival to departure, we handle ground transportation, hotels, meals, and all meetings. You arrange your international flights, visa, travel insurance, and personal expenses.
Days are full and structured. Expect about twelve hours of activity, usually two to four company meetings, site visits, or trade show sessions, plus domestic travel. The schedule is intensive but not physically demanding.
English is the primary meeting language. We provide interpreters when needed but prioritize English-capable speakers to ensure clarity and better exchange.
Trips are business-forward. We do not include cultural or historical touring, though you may extend your visit for personal travel. We provide concise briefing notes to give you context without requiring heavy preparation.
Dietary restrictions are collected in advance and generally easy to accommodate. For severe allergies, we may suggest bringing certain items. We only operate in safe, well-understood environments, and all participants should carry their own travel insurance.
Pricing and Terms
Trips typically cost around ten thousand dollars per person, with adjustments for group size and itinerary complexity. Payment is made in one or two stages, with the balance due three to four weeks before departure. As a guideline, cancellations more than one month out are refunded minus transaction fees; within one month, refunds are not available except in cases of visa denial.
Post Trip Engagement
You are encouraged to stay in touch with any companies or individuals you meet. We do not gatekeep relationships.
We do not facilitate investments or capital introductions. We are not a broker-dealer and do not arrange or structure transactions. These programs are designed for learning and access, and any business follow-up you pursue is independent of us.
What Participants Say
Past participants consistently remark on the quality of access and the density of insight. The most common observation is that the trip is intense in a productive way. Each trip ends with an informal shared dinner, and we maintain a WhatsApp group for ongoing connection.
