New Energy & Robotics (Spring 2026)

FOR INVESTORS & OPERATORS

APRIL 20–24, 2026

China is where new energy and robotics stop being concepts and start becoming systems. This is where batteries, power electronics, automation, and robotics are engineered, manufactured, and deployed at scale, often years ahead of other markets.

The China New Energy & Robotics Discovery Trip is a five-day, application-only program for investors and operators who want to see these sectors up close, while they are still forming. It is designed for people who make real decisions about capital, strategy, and operations and who want sharper signal than what earnings calls, reports, or conferences can provide.

This is a focused, business-first trip built around access, context, and informed discussion. There is no sightseeing and no filler. The goal is simple: to give you a clearer view of where these industries are actually headed.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The program runs April 20–24, 2026, with meetings across Shanghai, Hefei, and Shenzhen, selected for their roles in energy manufacturing, robotics development, and industrial ecosystems.

Participation is by application or referral only, with preference given to referrals from prior Tech Buzz China trips and existing Tech Buzz China newsletter subscribers. To preserve depth of discussion and quality of access, the group will be capped at approximately 15–20 participants.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Days are structured and purposeful, typically involving multiple company meetings, site visits, and closed-door discussions with operators and executives. The emphasis is on understanding how technologies are built, deployed, and scaled in practice, rather than broad overviews or polished narratives.

English is the primary working language, with interpretation provided when needed.

As part of the Shenzhen portion of the trip, participants will have access aligned with the 2026 Shenzhen International Robot Industry Link Conference (FAIR Plus 2026), taking place April 22–24, 2026, a major industry gathering organized by the Shenzhen Robotics Association focused on robotics and the full value chain.

The detailed itinerary will be finalized closer to departure based on access and availability. As a reference point, past Tech Buzz China programs have included visits and discussions with companies such as BYD, CATL, Xiaomi, Gotion, Envision Energy, EHANG, NIO, Kepler Robotics, Agile Robots, and NOETIX, among others.

TESTIMONIALS

  • “The Tech Buzz China Investor Trip was simply outstanding. It would not have been possible for our firm to develop this trip on our own given our lack of network in China and I think this trip was far superior to the more generic trips organized by investment banks.”
  • “The trip was excellent and superbly arranged. My assumption is you could attend this trip every year and come away with a staggering amount of new knowledge. Quite seriously, if this trip became a routine event, I would very strongly consider attending every two or three years. It was that good.”
  • “Wonderful learning experience and phenomenal hosts. Highly recommended!”
  • “The trip over delivered on that objective for me. The well planned and executed corporate meetings combined with thoughtful informed speakers added a unique, comprehensive and multi-pronged overview.”
  • “A trip that will open your mind to a new way of understanding change – as only the Chinese can do at this time. The organization was superb and the quality of the meetings and interaction with other investors made it truly memorable.”
